There has been a lot of buzz this week about the upcoming release of the Matrix sequels. The first trailer has dropped, and it is amazing. The fight scenes are amazing. And the Matrix Reloaded’s trailer was AWESOME!
On Thursday, March 31st, the official trailer for The Matrix Resurrections will be released. This is another computer generated trailer that is getting people’s attention. This time the trailer will be released on YouTube, and it will be around 2 minutes long.
The Matrix Resurrections trailer will be released on Thursday, October 25. The trailer will show the story from the beginning to the end.
The Matrix Resurrections’ Keanu Reeves
The Matrix: Resurrections’ first footage is now available to see online ahead of the trailer’s release, and here’s how to do it. With The Matrix: Resurrections, the narrative continues almost 20 years after the Matrix trilogy ended. Keanu Reeves and Carrie-Anne Moss reprise their roles as Neo and Trinity in the fourth installment of the series, which is being directed solely by Lana Wachowski this time. Warner Bros. is ready to show off the sequel as anticipation builds for its December 2024 debut.
In August 2024, the first video for The Matrix 4 premiered at CinemaCon, revealing that Neo had reverted to his Matrix identity of Thomas Anderson, apparently with no recollection of ever being The One. While it was an exclusive, viewers across the globe will be able to watch The Matrix 4 teaser when it is released online on September 9, 2024, but there is a chance to preview some footage from the film before then.
WB has started a viral marketing campaign for The Matrix: Resurrections, in the style of the original films, in which fans may watch snippets from the film. Visit WhatIsTheMatrix.com to see the first footage from The Matrix 4. Visitors to the site will be offered the option of taking the red pill or the blue pill, and depending on which one they choose, they will be shown one of countless distinct clips from The Matrix 4. Each teaser includes voiceover narration, identifies the precise moment you’re viewing the clip, and concludes with a notice stating that the trailer will be released in two days. Unfortunately, you can’t stop or rewind the video since doing so would just reload the website and return you to the red pill or blue pill screen, but you may choose as many times as you like.
Every teaser is different, but there are a few recurring sequences, such as a sight of Yahya Abdul-Mateen II’s character gazing in the mirror, Jonathan Groff’s character getting his lips shot, and several perspectives of a huge scene featuring Neo and a large audience. The voiceovers seem to be divided according on which pill is taken: taking the red pill results in narration from Abdul-Mateen II, while taking the blue pill results in narration from Neil Patrick Harris’ character, who appears to be Neo’s therapist. The character of Abdul-Mateen II wants you (or, more likely, Neo) to question reality, whereas Harris wants to confirm it. This is consistent with their anticipated roles in The Matrix 4, since the latter is believed to be a teenage Morpheus while the former is rumored to be further within the Matrix with Anderson (hence blue pill) (so red pill).
Many of these snippets are expected to make it into the final trailer, and seeing them all together may help to provide more context for what’s going on. Still, it’s probable that WB will attempt to keep The Matrix: Resurrections as enigmatic and clandestine as possible, so the trailer, like the teasers, won’t reveal anything.
The film franchise is one of the top three franchises in Hollywood, currently ranking 17th in the all-time box office. The Matrix’s wide array of merchandising has made it one of the best-selling film franchises in history, with action figures, games, clothing, and other products still being released today. The Matrix franchise has spawned three live-action films, the first in the original trilogy in 2003, The Matrix Reloaded in 2003, and The Matrix Revolutions in 2003..
